I am a blue collar guy. I work as a garbage man. A high school drop out, drug addict, and an ex con. After getting clean in 2000, a lot of things have changed about my life, but not my obsessive nature.
After I got dumped by a girl in 2010, I was advised to get a hobby. I decided that since I liked youtube, I would just grab my iPhone and make some awesome videos... right? It's just that easy.
It turns out it takes a lot of time and education to learn to be a content creator. However, I've always decide to jump headfirst into things before, and this hobby was no different.
Being a single, full-time father, my budget was limited. I was giddy when I was able to buy my flip camera, it's only recently that I have gotten a DSLR. No matter what the obstacle, I get the project done.
I use a lot of online sources, but mostly I have been learning by doing. I am hyper critical of my work, but when I look back to my first video (that at the time I thought was absolute genius) I can see that I have learned a lot since then.
Most of all I notice that I have a consistent trajectory, and that I will make something great one day. I know, one day, I will make a feature film I am proud of. I know because I have a strong work ethic, an obsessive nature, and confidence that I will never run out of ideas.
I like to make stuff, so I am gonna keep making stuff.
