Moritz is a german director and cinematographer with strong interests for movie production in its entirety.
His passion and dedication to high alpine mountaineering and arctic adventures enable him to work comfortably in all kinds of hostile outdoor environments. Though he’s worked on everything from branded content to music videos and social spots, Moritz is perhaps most known for raw and honest documentaries from some of the most remote corners of the world, always focussing on the interaction of humans with the beauty of nature.
Currently living in Chamonix in the heart of the french alps he enjoys being outdoors, following his passion for photography, filmmaking, mountaineering and skiing. His recent trip took Moritz on a 40-day adventure through Spitsbergen, Svalbards main island. He and his team crossed the island on skis from south to north, almost 700 kilometers. The 93-minute documentary movie premiered in a full 400-seat theatre in Munich and was released in May 2024 on major streaming platforms to the public.
