Second Place for Best Short-Film
Born in Sardinia, Italy, Arianna Usai is a director, screenwriter, and producer who developed a strong interest in photography and writing from an early age. She moved to London, where she discovered her true passion for cinema, and later earned a master’s degree in film directing in Barcelona. Her filmography includes a documentary, an independent medium-length film in English, a short film in Spanish and a brand-film for an Italian company. One of the recurring themes in her work is the importance of mental health in families and among young people, highlighting the suffering that a lack of psychological support can cause throughout life.
This film has been the most delicate and personal project I’ve ever undertaken.
