L´Horru (High Granary)
Episodic documentary (5x45') about the unknown and magical elevated granaries in northern Spain (Asturias). A journey searching a basket that became a temple.
Each chapter of L'Horru traces a century of history through these wooden barns, some of which show dates carved as far as 1505.
Can a piece of furniture tell the history of a country? Yes, and also be a diagnosis of the present society.
The "horreo" is a monument to Asturian self-hatred vision. We idealize it but at the same time we deeply ignore it, and therefore we ignore ourselves.
