Last Episode is a glimpse of my childhood years while growing up in a squatter village. Today, only a handful of such villages are left, and before it becomes a distant memory, I decided to film a short story based on my childhood.
Although the main premise of Last Episode is the challenge these children faced in order to watch the final episode of a Japanese animation series, but it also highlights life in the community.
Actual situations and challenges we faced; while some incidents were swept under the carpet because of the conservative nature of the community.
Last Episode highlights children living in such an environment; persevere through creativity and shear determination to enjoy life with whatever little we have.
The world is too vast to measure, at least there is still room to play.
