Director Biography - ALAN KIM

Alan Kim is a self-taught filmmaker who has written, directed, and edited five short films and one feature film. He is currently 24 years old pursuing his MBA at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. He also founded CAP Club in 2018, the largest film production organization at UC Berkeley (capclubberkeley.com), which has over 200 members and has produced over 100 short films.

Director Statement

This is a story about dreams, family, and coming of age.

LAND'S END was shot over two months (22 days) and edited in 28 days, all on a shoe-string budget of $5K. This is an independent project that is self-funded, involving a crew of twelve, all of whom are UC Berkeley colleagues.

This story is told in three primary languages (English, Spanish, Korean) and takes place over the course of various time periods.
