Director Statement

Korsan Taksi is a fusion of photography and moving images, a visual experiment born out of rhythm and motion. Composed of 32,497 still frames, the video pays homage to early cinematography and the tactile beauty of analog techniques. Each frame moves to the pulse of the song, running at 5 to 6 frames per second, creating a flickering sensation between stillness and flow. The screen is divided in two, echoing Eisenstein’s idea of the “dynamic square,” shot between the studio and the streets, the work juxtaposes the raw pulse of urban life with moments of dreamlike intimacy.
