Zoe Chressanthis is a Greek-American animator based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree at the Kansas City Art Institute in 2016. Her animations were first featured in the hybrid documentary “Dance Fight Love Die - With Mikis On the Road” (2017). She was a camera operator on “Electra 21” (2022), which filmed in Greece on the island of Sryros. Currently, she is an independent claymation artist, painter, and paint-maker.
"Kitchen Sink" is an experimental claymation music video that submerges viewers in a surreal, aquatic world inhabited by sculpted creatures and shifting watery tableaus. I served as the director, animator, and editor of the film, with original music composed by Jake Trujillo. Through tactile clay animation and ambient sound, we sought to craft an immersive visual journey that sits between dream and ritual.
