I believe in collaborative approach of visual representation of social dynamics.
I am a visual ethnographer, and I teach at American University in Bulgaria. My areas of research include social dynamics, based on global migration, transnationalism and migrant integration, and working with indigenous peoples of the American Southwest. My transnational team develops a long-term experimental visual research "New Roots" in Vienna, Austria with the support of Northern Arizona University, UNHCR Austria, and EGA - The Women’s Center of Vienna. I am a member of the International Visual Sociology Association, and the American Anthropological Association. My collaborative documentary films have been screened in the United States, France, Germany, and Austria. My photography work has been published in different media in Europe and the United States, including the Arizona Highways magazine, and a permanent installation at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport.
