Kill Your Darlings
"KILL YOUR DARLINGS". Fashion is Dead. Maarten van Mulken’s collection is a middle finger against this statement. ‘Kill your Darlings’ is a movie about the life and death of the things you love. It's a surreal impression of a girl and her fears, her sins, her joy and her hopes. It's a moment between life and death, where she asks herself why she had to die.

Pascal Baillien (1964) born and raised in Tongeren, the oldest city of Belgium. A 2000-year-old city full of history and tales. Fascinated by movies at a very young age, he started to experiment with his father’s old 8mm camera.
He graduated in Photo, Film and Visual Arts in Hasselt (Belgium) and developed a genuine interest in filmmaking. Working with artists from all trades, he first specialised in promos in the
music industry, later on in commercials and fashion films.
From 1997 till 2009 he ran his first production company where he received several awards for his music promos and commercials. From 2009 onward he regularly worked as a freelance director in Los Angeles, where he met his Emmy awarded mentor Cinematographer Cira Felina Bolla ASC. They worked on several projects with Pascal as director, on short films as well as Art House productions.
During the period from 2011 till 2014, he also specialised in film licensing to dig deeper into the film business, but soon revolved back to his passion for directing.
His strong and cinematic way of directing and more than 20 years of experience in filmmaking, make him a multi-dimensional storyteller. With his visually driven campaigns for clients in the fashion, music and corporate industry, using a wide range of techniques, he is able to create powerful images.
2018 he is working on a full-length movie ‘The Goatmen’, an epic historical drama of high production value.
Over the course of his career, Pascal directed more than 250 productions.
