Fiemale Filmmaker from Hamburg. Women in the centre of the story and a very diverse theme obeying human rights and share everything. This is what my life in culture is all about. After trained in acting and dancing as a kid and playing kids roles on stage, I changed to behind the camara. Life in Hamburg was very political and I was always involved in that.
After Kameraeducation I studied Finance and bookkeeping and fell in Love marreid and had two now adult children. After splitting up I returned to Hamburg culture scene music business and and started a new career behind and in front camera. Working for TV and Theatre and wrote plays of my own and than I found out that doing my own Films is a perfect way to combine all my abilities. Besides that I was taking part on conferences for TV Production companies and studied Media Education at Hamburg University. It was always a struggle to have a career in a mans world. I am running a lot of sociocultural spaces in the city now and we are very sucessfull in supporting artists at the beginning of their career. As there were Adele Fatih Akin and so on. In Hamburg it was sometimes very difficult to do projects so I started to work in other European countries to do films and we founded the Kino movement which is a worldwide community of artists who organizes shootings and screenings for independent filmmakers.
Filmmaking is not about money it is about working together. Everyone in the team is responsible to do the best movie ever.
