I am a passionate, experienced actress, writer, director and filmmaker bringing forth enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and an unrelenting desire to entertain.
I fell in love with art of filmmaking as a little girl, I was about 4 years old. My mom and I were sitting in my grandmothers kitchen. I was getting my hair done by my mom while watching the TV series “Sister Sister”. While watching TV, my mom asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. It didn't take long for me to responded with the biggest smile on my face, and with the most confident voice anyone could ever have had. I responded, “I’m going to be a star”. My mom laughed and corrected me. She told me that Tia and Tamera Mowry were actresses. It was in that moment that I knew I wanted to be an actress, and I fell in love with acting and filmmaking.
The journey to my acting career hasn't been easy. Growing up, I watched my mother struggle to raise three kids. Although she did have help from my grandparents and step father, she still struggled from time to time. My mother was so dedicated to making sure we had everything we needed and wanted. She drove from Jonesboro, GA to Decatur, GA almost every day during the school week to make sure that I made it back and forth to school and home. Seeing her struggle, I did not want to make life more difficult by asking to attend after school activities or auditions. One day after school, a talent agency was scouting for talent and I gained enough courage to ask my mother could I sign up to audition. She took me to the audition, and it went so well, I received a callback for an interview. My mother's schedule did not allow enough free time for me to be able to interview. I felt defeated, but I didn't want my mom to feel bad, so I let it go.
That was not the last attempt to my acting career. I graduated from Southwest DeKalb High School in 2010, and began attending Georgia Perimeter College that Fall semester. I was enrolled in Theater, but I wasn't as responsible as I should have been. I never showed up to the class, and eventually withdrew and dropped out. A few years passed and I felt like I was missing my calling. I began submitting to background roles, networking and taking acting classes.
Since then, I have had a role as a supporting actress in the short film "Still Goin Thru It" by Blake Sayso Living. I have also written numerous scripts, filmed, directed and produced my own film titled “KICKED Back” in 2022. It has been selected as Semi Finalist in the Paris International Short Festival and was selected as a finalist in the Atlantic Bridge Film Festival. I am currently working on part 2, titled “The Get Back”.
Be the vision to your dreams! 💫
