Beshr has been experimenting with different forms of storytelling from an early age, writing short stories, poetry, wall drawing, and most recently his focus has been on combining different forms of art together, like animation, installation art, performance, and filmmaking.
His films have been selected in multiple international film festivals, and have won multiple awards: Best Short Film at Le MUP Film Festival for his short film "Khadija", Honorable Mention at Genç Öncüler Short Film Competition for his short documentary “Save the Rest”, and the 1st Prize at Yeşilay International Short Film Competition for his short film “Where Were You?”
Khadija is a personal film based on the story of my grandmother, and her own experience of the events taking place in Syria.
This film is about the meaning of life and death, and one of the hidden horrible sides of war.
