I live in Brooklyn but I'm from Florida (so I guess I'm a Florida Woman, but you're not allowed to hold that against me). I work as an actor, voice over artist, and audiobook narrator. I've worked in the theatre for many years and have performed at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, SoHo Rep, and regional theatre across the country. I began writing, creating, and producing my own work because I craved more intentional control over my path as an artist. I was tired of always being at the behest of others. I was tired of asking permission. Especially from men. As the world continues to reckon with its complicity in patriarchal power structures, I can make and support stories that challenge that narrative. Good stories. Entertaining stories. Complex, horrifying, female driven stories.
Through my films, I want to shed light in dark places and unearth darkness where light is blinding. I want to explore the mundane in fantastical ways and the fantastical in mundane ones. Beauty in the grotesque and the grotesque in beauty.
