I live in Brooklyn but I'm from Florida (so I guess I'm a Florida Woman, but you're not allowed to hold that against me). I work as an actor, voice over artist, and audiobook narrator. I began writing, creating, and producing my own work because I craved more intentional control over my path as an artist. I was tired of always being at the behest of others. I was tired of asking permission. Especially from men. As the world continues to reckon with its complicity in patriarchal power structures, I can make and support stories that challenge that narrative. Good stories. Entertaining stories. Complex, horrifying, female driven stories.
Through my films, I want to shed light in dark places and unearth darkness where light is blinding. I want to explore the mundane in fantastical ways and the fantastical in mundane ones. Beauty in the grotesque and the grotesque in beauty.
