Katha Nalapani Ko
KathaNalapaniKo is thefirst documentary based on Nepalese military historyThis documentary. seeks to explore the various aspects of this crucial battle. The battle of Nalapani was a pivotal event in the formative period of modern Nepal.Although Nepal ended up losing a large chunk of territory in the Nepal-Britain war in 1816, she managed to ensure her survival as a sovereign state. The tenecious defence put up by the Nepalese in Nalapani and subsequent battles detered the British from pursuing ambitious goals in Nepal. The gallantry of Nepalese men and women deployed at the Nalapani Fort so impressed the British that they erected a monument in honor of their adversary. It was also since then that the word 'Gurkha' became synonymous with bravery all over the world.
