Kasey is a Navy Veteran turned film producer/actress. It was not until one nightshift while in the military that it dawned on her that film is what she wanted to do with her life. From creating and acting in her own at-home films, she was always a storyteller at heart. When the end of her contract was approaching,, she knew she wanted to do something that she was passionate about, something that she could stay up for hours and hours working on but never felt like "work". That was when she decided she would make the move to Los Angeles.
Kasey has finished her Bachelor's in Fine Arts for Acting for Film, and is now pursuing her Master's in Fine Arts for Filmmaking. For her, knowledge and expertise is everything. She refuses to live in a world where she is waiting for someone to give her a job. Her philosophy is to get out there and make it happen for yourself, because "if you will not do it for YOU then why would someone else?".
Kasey has credited acting for helping her and reminding her of who she is at her core after leaving the military. From having to hide some of your deepest thoughts and inner-voice, acting helped her to learn how to express herself once again. As scary and fearful as it was, in the end, it was truly liberating.
Kasey believes film is our love language to the world. We all have something we want to say, lessons we want to share with others, struggles we want to be heard. Film is how we translate all of that. It is our way of bringing the world together.
