Nicole Garcia is a first-generation Mexican-American actress and filmmaker hailing from El Paso, TX. She grew up performing in Mariachi groups and staking out the nearest cinema on the release day of each new horror film. Between middle and high school, she was known for freaking out her English teachers with her macabre poems. She quickly realized that sick habit could take her places bigger than her hometown.
Since earning her Bachelors in Acting at AMDA in Los Angeles, she has staged original plays, directed short films and music videos. Much of her work has screened at Regal LA, and has been featured in BroadwayWorld and La Mirada Lamplighter. Certified by the SAFD in several weapons, Garcia has years of training in Boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, and stunts. Utilizing these skills, she choreographs gritty and gripping combat for her own productions. Garcia is a guerrilla styled filmmaker- producing as she goes, and leaning into her work ethic inherited from her immigrant parents.
As a writer, I blend horror with comedy and as a fighter, I choreograph/train women to be the most vicious and proficient opponents on screen. This is the kind of cinema I want to build: horror and combat led by women, sprinkled rich with the spice of my heritage. In all that I do, I possess the pure gumption of a horror head and the work ethic of a dreamer. Viva la Raza!
