KITCHEN

Two women in a kitchen.
Some inexplicable force that keeps them in that space.
And suffocates them, yet it is impossible to talk about it. Something is missing.
We balance on the border between love and despair. Memories of things that haven't happened yet flow intermittently between the moments we hold on to.
To be is to... I see you and you can see me.
If you leave me here, can I go with you?

This film is an immersion in the energy of space. Through bodies and intuition, it gives form to something emerging from a deep layer of feminine experience. Like a family constellation, it reads space intuitively through movement and the body, before finding its final composition in the editing room.

"A found space, found clothes, and two women. The aura of the space and the clothes seems to have taken hold of Kinga Kovács and Bernadette Jobbágy in their film *KITCHEN*. A strange relationship—dense and saturated with aggression and love—comes to life in the dancers’ movements. The restrained and explosive images come together to form a well-paced work. The suffocating atmosphere is palpable. This is perhaps the film with the strongest emotional impact of them all." [FakTúra online magazine]
