In a city scarred by decades of war and insecurity, a hidden entity representing peace is awakened. From her cave, she lives and feels the sorrow of the people. This cave is a neutral ground, a sanctuary where peace and hope are symbolized by a piece of white fabric.

War, poverty, and uncertainty have extinguished the dreams of many. As the future grows darker, crime surges, solidarity fades, and everyone is left to fight for their own survival.

In a city bruised by decades of war and unrest, a hidden force—guardian of peace—is stirred from silence. From within her cave, she listens, she aches, she breathes the sorrow of a forgotten people. This sacred cave, untouched by violence, holds a quiet magic: peace and hope, woven into a single piece of white cloth.

War has stolen dreams, poverty has crushed voices, and shadows of doubt stretch across every corner. As the light of unity fades, crime rises, and each soul drifts into lonely survival.

Yet those who find their way to the cave do not seek just fabric—they seek a sign. A whisper. A promise that not all is lost. And in accepting the cloth, they accept the weight of hope, carrying it back into the broken streets like lanterns in the dark, spreading fragments of peace where none remain.

Director Biography - Mélanie ZAWADI KADUKU

Mélanie est née et habite en RDC. Ayant obtenu son diplôme de licence en Géologie Minières ; Mélanie est passionnée de Cinéma et de l’écriture depuis son jeune âge. Elle s’est lancée dans le domaine en 2018 où elle a rencontré le producteur de MUTHEMBWI CINEMA, une maison de production se trouvant dans la ville de Goma. Elle participe à quelques formations et projections critiques. Elle écrit et réalise son premier film APA en 2018 ; Réalise le film LES DES en 2023 et en 2025, elle réalise son 3ème court métrage KIEUPE.
Avec la pénurie d’école de Cinéma au Congo, Mélanie décide de s’auto-former dans la ville de Goma en intégrant le projet GOMA CAPITALE DE CINEMA, une dynamique qui rassemble des réalisateurs et les accompagne dans différentes productions et formation. Ainsi Mélanie a participé dans plusieurs productions, Résidences et projections critiques organisées par MUTHEMBWI CINEMA depuis 2018.
Muthembwi Cinéma étant en partenariat avec Yole ! Africa, un centre de formation artistique à Goma, Mélanie participe dans quelques formations organisées à Yole ! Africa dans le but d’améliorer les bases du cinéma. Elle a aussi participé dans plusieurs festivals et projections organisés par Yole ! Africa depuis 2018. En 2023, elle réalise son deuxième film d’école LES DES et finalement en 2025 elle réalise KIEUPE.
