KELVIS

Kevin Elsbury is a local resident of the market town of Romford in the London Borough of Havering, for 15 years he has been seen out and about town, dragging along his ‘boogie box’ and dressed head to toe in one of his multiple Elvis Presley costumes with which he puts on a musical performance for the people of Romford whilst raising money for local charity. This documentary serves to document and celebrate a very unique individual who has always been a positive and uplifting force within an ever-changing suburban environment, which has experienced much change from redevelopment and immigration in the past 15 years. The documentary will also provide some insight and backstory into the man behind KELVIS, hopefully putting some answers to the questions as to why he continues to do his tribute act and why he is so passionate about bringing happiness to lives of complete strangers in his local town.
