KARL

My journey in film began when I was six years old. I had just finished watching Jurassic Park for the first time and I couldn’t believe what I saw. I turned to my father and asked him, “how did they do all of that?” How did they get me to believe dinosaurs were real for two hours. All he said was, “Movie magic.” Ever since then I have worked hard to write and direct my own films with family and friends. In high school; I directed a few short films for the student film festival in my home state of Connecticut. Two films, a drama about a patient dying from a severe illness and documentary about life inside a homeless shelter, received awards which allowed me to pursue film out of my original surroundings and travel to LA for school. I’ve been living in LA for a little over a year now and have been studying film at the New York Film Academy. Since moving out here I have written and directed around five short films and am currently in the pre-production process of a new film which will be my biggest yet.
