KANKE MENTAL ASYLUM
Kanke mental asylum was shut by indian government back in british times due to unethical practices that were followed there
KMA - KANKE MENTAL ASYLUM. is the crumbling husk of a mental institution that was closed due to cruel treatment of its patients, one of whom left a mysterious work of epic scale etched into the plaster of the walls that imprisoned him.
It was started by british officer Mr Wattson in 1918.
Perhaps one of the earliest forms of treatment for mental illness, trephination also called as trepanation which involved opening of skull using a bore or even saw. They said removing small section of skull eased headaches and even cure demonic possession.
Today it stands as a testimony to the inhumane practices once used in mental health. Mr wattson promised employment to people and lured them to work at asylum and used his practices to cause them severe mental breakdown, as he wanted to try out his new invented methodology & at same time his asylum to be biggest in the world. Once a upon a time it had a strength of 2000 patients.
Goverment was forced to shut it down due to unethical practices. Mr wattson could not take this loss and hung himself in his home the same night leaving behind his wife Shikha who was from Tamil Nadu and their new born child and all his research about human Psychiatry . He wrote a letter before committing suicide as his last wish
Which stated . " To make the world a better place to live.....AMEN"
Now if they find patients enough they are on a quest to reopen the asylum
