Whether it was during the Dwapara Yuga, around 5,000 years ago, or in the present Kaliyuga, whether in Assam, Manipur, Delhi, in villages or cities, among the illiterate or literate, atrocities and violence against women have persisted everywhere and affect everyone to this day. This will continue unless we fightback and adopt zero-tolerance policies and actively work to change the prevailing mindsets in our society.
