Director Statement

For the past ten years I've been fully immersed in the Korean underground world of extreme metal, and had long felt their story needed to be told. But due to the frenetic pace of social change in modern Seoul, I realized that much of that scene was disappearing in real-time. So I set about capturing and preserving as much as I could of these musical miscreants and their quixotic quest. Through this story I hope the audience will learn what I've learned; there's a lot more to Korea than meets the eye, and never underestimate the power of passion and perseverance in the face of overwhelming odds.
