Director Biography - Mikaela Duplay

Mikaela, or Miki, is a french and south korean director and music composer born and raised in luxembourg. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Film, Television and Digital Production at Royal Holloway university of London where she was able to develop a quirky and colorful style of filming.

Her education in classical piano at the Conervatoire de Musique du Luxembourg enabled her to compose every soundtrack of her films.

After living in Seoul during six months to learn korean, Miki wrote her short film « Juste à Côté » for which she received a grant from the Film Fund Luxembourg. The film was shot in july 2021.

In the meantime, Paris became her new home, where she, in parallel, pursued a career in music leading to a contract with SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING.

Miki regularly directs the clips of her music and is currently working on two new short fiction films that she wishes to shoot in 2022 with the help of french and Luxembourgish production companies.
