I'm Anna Chavez, the director of Jupiter Cove. I'm a SCAD Animation student, majoring in Story/Concept and minoring in Sequential Art. I'm from Reno, Nevada, and dabbled in many other fields of art before deciding to pursue animation as a career. I grew up watching Disney, reading Percy Jackson, and obsessing over the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I love road trips, lemon ice cream, the acting talents of Jake Johnson, and dancing poorly to good music. My work aims to connect and individualize simultaneously. Storytelling has the wonderful ability to unite an audience by drawing on each person's unique experience. Fictional characters remind us that while we are all different, our collective dreams, struggles, wins and failures make us more alike than we realize. My interest in songwriting led me to create the concept for the Jupiter Cove music video. My future endeavors include, but aren't limited to concept development and production design.
