Junebug
Junebug is a short film that uses experimental approaches to capture a portrait of an entire day at a public pool. Using abstract images and a unique perspective, Junebug uses the pool as a way to embody the heat of summer.

Amiko Muscat is a seventeen year old Japanese American student filmmaker from San Francisco.
Junebug was created over the course of a week and a half with people that I was able to meet at California State Summer School for the Arts. Living in San Francisco, I am used to the fog and cold weather, and when I lived in Los Angeles for the month, I was surprised by the constant heat that many Southern Califronians endure every summer. This film was created to convey my feelings about the heat of the summer and the idea that there is no way to escape it - except to be near the water.
