A short documentary about the daily life of a food truck lady Julie. She sells Chinese food near campus and don't know how to speak English, but she keeps a good relationship to people around her. She tells stories to the students and be the "mother" to all of the Chinese students.

Yuqi is a new filmmaker from China. She's now studying in UT Austin for film. Driven by her passion to speak up, she takes pride in providing the best story that she's most passionate about. Her goal includes survive in this world making films rather than doing jobs she doesn't like just for the money.

Director Statement

This is my first doc project and my first project ever since I get to Austin. I used to have so many fears about leaving my home country. But all of them vanished when I meet the Chinese community here. Julie gives me so mush support in my life and this film. She talks to students like me like a mother and I want to capture that. I'm so happy that I made this.
