Born in East Germany in 1984, Julia Walter studied literature and philosophy while working as an assistant director and interning at a number of film production companies. It was not long until she began studying to be a Director at the University of Television and Film Munich, Germany (HFF München). Since, Julia’s short films have been invited to multiple film festivals all over the world and received several awards, among them The Murnau-Short Film Award, The Blaue Blume Romance Award, and Best Student Film Award at The Winter Film Awards in New York City. Job Interview is also part of the Next Generation Short Tiger program, a showcase of the best German short films, that premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2014.
