Director Biography - Grice Peters


Grice Peters (aka GRICE) is an award winning, art rock musician, singer-songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and producer from London. He has built his reputation in progressive circles, since the release of his debut album ‘Propeller’ (MPG Awards) leading to acclaim from PROG magazine and airplay on UK including BBC Radio 6 Music and international radio. His album Polarchoral (2022) was voted Best Album (Indie Prog Awards, NY) and was featured on PROG magazine News Editor’s top 20 albums. His instrumental album ‘one thousand birds symphony’ album and film have won international awards leading to an immersive performance at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM).

GRICE has released 6 albums on hungersleep records and he has collaborated with notable musicians including sonic innovator Richard Barbieri (Japan, Porcupine Tree), Steve Jansen (Japan, Rain Tree Crow, Exit North), Raphael Ravenscroft (Baker Street, Vangelis, Pink Floyd), Paul Gray (The Damned), Hossam Ramzy (Peter Gabriel, Led Zeppelin) and more.

GRICE has credits on Richard Barbieri’s solo album ‘Planets and Persona’, he has produced and featured on ‘Icarus Girl’ by Siobhan McCrudden and he is co-writer and vocalist on ‘Beyond the Illusion’ and ‘Caravaggio’ by Italian musician Stefano Panunzi and on ‘Urban Vision’ by Nicola Lori. He has performed live in the UK and abroad (Berlin & Ireland) including touring with Richard Barbieri (Hoxton Hall), he has made a guest appearance with Steve Hogarth (Marillion) in Sweden and he has supported Public Service Broadcasting, Banco de Gaia and more. His music features on a number of films and documentaries (BBC 2 & BBC Worldwide, NETFLIX, SKY, MTV). GRICE's albums have been praised for their emotional depth, vocals and harmonies, high production values and fusion of eclectic influences, including art rock, synth-pop, electronica, folk and progressive rock.

His latest album 'Mordant Lake' (2024) was described by critics as a “stoic, strong and embracing masterpiece that explores themes of displacement and humanity”.
