Lady Elena is a Latina Director, Producer, Actress, Editor, and Screenplay Writer. Since a child, Elena has always been passionate about storytelling whether it was with a camera or a pen in her hand. In her high school’s broadcasting program, she studied and spent 4 years of learning the ins and outs of television production. After that Elena attended Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia where she honed her skills and profession in which she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts for Film and Television. She also obtained a minor in Acting for the Camera. In her training, Elena created numerous short films, music videos, and documentaries including directing, producing, screenwriting, acting, and editing multiple works. The most value and wisdom came from the experience of working and collaborating with genuine artists who shared a common vision to change the world one film at a time. Nowadays, she continues to help others bring their visions to life while bringing awareness to mental health, grief, and drug addiction.
Your life matters + there is hope! Based on a true story, Joy Pill was created for audience viewers of all ages. This film shines a light on important matters pertaining addiction, mental health, loss, and grief. Last fall I created this film in a dark place after the death of a family member and mentor. I truly believe we go to Heaven after we pass, and that our Angels are with us even in our darkest moments. I combined ideas from Dias De Los Muertos and my Mexican heritage to create a world that signifies the afterlife. With a message of love and hope, the Joy Pill Family would be honored to be chosen as we represent the Mexican-American Community.
