Josiah Tipton is from Northwest Indiana, he studied cinematography in Chicago and has been making short films since he was ten years old with his dad's Panasonic Palmcorder VHS C. Not much has changed since then except that the equipment got better and the shoots got more expensive. A love of documentaries lead him and his best friend to direct a series of short docs that took an intimate look at midwestern artists and some of the eccentric people that make up this region. Lately he has been working on more scripted narratives and hopes to be finishing his first feature in the next couple years.
