Director Statement

I felt inspired to write this when I visited a maze at Halloween Horror Nights, a couple of years ago. The main character in the maze was a female vampire hunter and it put a thought in my head to want to write about a female lead for my first horror film. I wrote this story because as a horror fan and a feminist, I have always wanted to see a female version of the Frankenstein creature, not as the bride, but as the main creature herself. I believe we live in a time where female representation is crucial to the medium. I was very blessed to have had such a talented cast and crew to bring this short film to life.
