Jesse: The Funeral That Never Ended
In 1998, over 1000 people died in a small oil-producing community in Nigeria, Africa's largest oil producer. It was the most gruesome pipeline disaster in the country.
This film tells the story of the people of the Niger Delta whose land is responsible for most of the country's wealth but for whom their gift has become a curse. It uniquely elevates the survivors and victims from just numbers to actual people - flesh and blood like the rest of us.
