Without movies, we're stuck with life.
Jean-Pierre Huot has always been a film lover. Particularly, traditional animated films. The first time he goes to the movies, Cruella de Vil both terrorizes and fascinates him. He learns to draw in the hope that he can recreate Cruella at will.
Flash forward to adulthood: Jean-Pierre works for several years as an storyboard artist in the field of traditional animation. This experience teach him the grammar of cinema, cutting and framing.
These notions are very useful when he starts to make live action films. His very first film was chosen to be part of the famous "Film Shortage" platform. He took screenwriting classes at the university and wrote two feature film scripts and dozens of shorts. His films were screened in New York and Montreal.
In the short term, Jean-Pierre's goal is to direct his first feature film loosely inspired by his own life.
