Jesse McMinn is a Space Coast native dedicating his artistry to capturing local stories. His debut short documentary, 1000 Days In: The Romelia Farms Story (2024), earned several accolades across Central Florida, including the prestigious Robert Kurrus Humanitarian Filmmaker Award at the Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival. McMinn recently wrapped his second documentary, Jasper, Florida, which is expanding his reach to a broader audience on the 2026 film festival circuit with out-of-state screenings. He is currently in production on his third documentary, You Can't Sleep Here: Homeless on the Space Coast. Slated for completion in late 2026 or early 2027, this upcoming project offers a deep dive into local homelessness support programs, the impact of House Bill 1365, and how we navigate communication around polarizing social issues.
