Jakarta sinking
While Indonesia's capital city is sinking by many inches each year, local residents in the Northern Jakarta neighbourhood Kapuk Teko are holding on amidst floods and seasonal torrents. In this documentary we follow their resilience and local attempts to tackle both rising sea levels and land subsidence.

Danish documentary filmmaker (b. 1985) with a special eye for climate stories in the Global South. Lived most of his youth in Latin America, setting out on a path of journalism and storytelling. Educated in the craft of Film- and TV-technician in Copenhagen Technical School followed by a diploma of Specialised Journalism at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. Combines documentary filmmaking and journalism with work for several media outlets nationally and internationally. Runs the Danish production company Global Frame from Copenhagen.
With this film I wanted to showcase the many challenges that local residents in Jakarta are facing with the phenomena of sinking cities.
