Eric Phelan is an independent director, cinematographer, editor and award winning filmmaker. Eric has been involved in everything from narrative films to documentaries, commercials, music videos, and corporate videos. Eric studied Film,(RTVF) at the University of North Texas. Eric Splits his time between NYC, DFW, and Frankfort, KY.
When I read a short story by the talented Richard Horn from Texas, I had to read more and more of his work. I discovered his short story called "Jacob's' New Friend" and I just knew that I had to make it into a film somehow. I gathered up my talented actor friends in NYC, asked for favors, a location and some equipment! We ended up making a small/interesting film that explores what the future of mental health may look like and what could be the consequences of meddling with A.I. and technology in the human body.
