Jack in the green

Storyline:

Jack, a young teenager, lives with his parents in an old cottage near the seaside in the peaceful village of Hastings, Sussex, England. They are a poor chimney sweep family and hope to win first prize in the annual May Day competition for the most beautiful garland. This gives Jack an idea and sets out with his father to collect all the flowers and ivy in Hastings.

Queen Spring quickly discovers Jack's plans and decides to teach him a lesson. She turns Jack into a walking talking bush with a curse. Because she understands the situation the poor family finds itself in, she decides to reverse the curse as soon as Jack is freed during the May Day parade in a very unusual way.

During the story we are introduced to all kinds of mystical, magical and, above all, colorful, imaginative individuals. In this way, the chimney sweeps, the green men, the milkmaids and the red drummer boy also get their own story in a playful way.
