Jabbara
The monsters don’t live under your bed; but they rot inside your head. This story revolves around a teenage girl, Lina, whose envious mother, Salma, seeks revenge on her. Lina struggles to withstand any and every haunting memory of her putrid mother and seeks safety in the sanctuary that she’s built herself in her mind. But Lina is challenged when Salma's hatefulness pushes her over the edge, and drives her to make a life-changing decision.

Samir Kawas studied T.V. and Film at the Lebanese American University and was born on November 14th 1998 and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. His love for film first sparked when he discovered video editing. Since then, Samir has improved his skills and has turned his hobby into a career. His love for horror has pushed him to experiment with this genre in a country where genre cinema isn't as appreciated. Samir is excited to venture out on a new adventure with his directorial debut "Jabbara" and believes that the new generation of Lebanese filmmakers will be able to spice up Lebanese Cinema by introducing new genres and fresh ideas for storytelling into the film scene.
