JASON

The epic poem 'The Argonautica' by Apollonius of Rhodes in the 3rd century consists of thrilling encounters and it survives in various forms. This modern experimental Lo FI retelling retains many of the elements and encounters but twists the story to reveal a deadly journey of youth, violence and psychological horror.

Director Statement

Theatre On Wax’s directive is to engage on projects that are distinctive and idiosyncratic. Stories that are not derivative but markedly innovative in all manner of ways.

''Desire, dereliction and a sense of just being outside, on the fringe of something beautiful or dark that echoes in our lives, sometimes we peek through the crack and sometimes we dive in''
Mark Crane
