Loss, that challenging experience, can it be expressed through movement?

'Nunca Bailaré Solo' (I will never dance alone)

A project we embarked on in early 2019 in Vancouver.
We wanted to understand how to face loss.
How to learn to manage it and transform it.

Sometime after Diego Garrido lost his mother,
we began conversations about the meaning of that pivotal moment in his life.
About how it's possible to find hope after enduring such a significant loss,
searching for a ray of light amidst so much darkness.

From those conversations, the idea for this video emerged.
This process helped us realize that we will all experience similar moments,
in which we won't find answers.
Where we will feel lost,
but with time, we will find solace.

About how, through movement, one can find a way to transform that pain,
channel it, and accept that this absence will always be with us.
