Italy In Bocca

Shot one day before quarantine, two friends use a series of rare Italian cardboard covered cookbooks to take a virtual trip to 4 fantastic regions of Italy without leaving their kitchen. What started as a simple plan to make a "last supper" with friends, turned into a discovery of culture, long lost family, and a film dedicated to bringing awareness of those who have been affected tragically by the pandemic, offering help and assistance while being stuck at home.

"We had no idea it would become this huge machine," comments Serrini in an interview to Filmmaker Magazine, "we just were shooting this epic dinner we were putting together, and next thing we know we're interviewing celebrity chefs and doing live events to raise money for food banks. It's honestly the most wonderful thing in the world."

Made with love, and red sauce, in NYC.

Director Statement

I've always been passionate about making amazing, fun content about the things we unknowingly love. Dedicating a life to travel and documentary, I've had the honor to tell dozens of unique and beautiful stories through my lens. I truly love handcrafting these films, producing, shooting, and editing them on my own terms, so that a unique perspective can always ring true. This, the latest of my absurd work, will hopefully leave you full, but craving just a bite more.
