Director Statement

Two weeks before the Roe vs. Wade overturn, my friend got an abortion. On the day when the news of the overturn came out, I was numb and unable to process it. Three days later, the horror finally hit me. The fact that our bodies are no longer ours, that our bodies are now out of our control, overwhelmed me, my emotion, and my thought.

This story wasn't easy to make. Scouting for a house that sells the story and a location owner that understands and supports the story was only one of the obstacles among many.
It is precisely the fact the story is relatable, topical, and difficult that propelled me to keep going, that motivated me even after the fourth house owner turned me down due to the subject matter. Because it is difficult, that's why we need to tell the story. Because if not now, then when? if not me, not us, then who?
