After moving to Portland Oregon from the east coast Peter Grey decided to pursue his lifelong interest in film and movies!
What started as a minor role in a film students graduate project blossomed into a steady pursuit of Background Acting growing into a dependable Day Player working all over the PNW!
Spending Five Octobers developing his own unique Haunt persona and working with a live show for years as a Haunt denizen in the Pacific Northwest!
Having these opportunities to work on a very large production while taking note of the equipment and how it’s used was good use of his time. On set and studying the day-to-day operations while asking questions of directors, show runners and everyday background actors while translating this experience into his own understanding of independent film.
Directing a film and working with live humans is not for everyone, but developing the ability while experienced enough to relate to different people with varying backgrounds who all showed up to do a job is a real asset.
Peter Grey brings the experience / ability to pull a production together while producing a coherent film and having some fun along the way!
Invasion of the FreeBox Monsters is a project that is near and dear to our hearts! The culmination of abilities, equipment and on the spot know how and how we grew as filmmakers is incredible!
We bring you our fun little B-Horror movie filmed in our home base of Portland Oregon!
Over the past years we have been able to produce some shorts and even a 4-part web-seris about a woman giving Ray Bradbury like tattoos that produce retribution in the ink of a tattoo artists gun!
We experimented with equipment like using a PVC pipe as our first boom to investing in a homemade track and stand that kinda worked. We learned lesions as people and about people like just how many Hailey's you can go through while making a film!
We love Portland and want to thank everyone whose helped us with our productions along the way! We were lucky to have Actors do multiple projects and all the help we got from folks about editing, white balance and the importance of independent audio!
Thanks to Portland and thanks to everyone whose lent their time and talent to Red Stool Production
