Writer Statement

"Interval" is born from a fascination with the way grief and guilt can warp our perception of reality. I wanted to explore how a single moment in time can become an inescapable loop, haunting our present and dictating our future. The desolate coastal setting and the surreal elements serve to externalize Mark's internal landscape, a mindscape where the past bleeds into the present, and the line between the real and the imagined dissolves. Ultimately, it's a story about the struggle to find redemption in the face of overwhelming loss, and the unsettling truth that sometimes, the road to healing is a journey through our deepest fears.
