International Incidents

International Incidents chronicles Columbus’ three original professional hockey teams that called the city home between 1966 and 1977. All three played in the International Hockey League. The film was created using historical stills, uncovered film footage, motion graphics and sound design.

Eric Weltner is a Cincinnati-based copywriter and creative director in the advertising industry. His lifelong love of hockey and movies led him to make International Incidents, the result of nine years of research, writing and creativity.

International Incidents chronicles a decade of professional hockey in Columbus, Ohio, that was on the verge of being forgotten. Through 80 minutes of imagery, interviews and narration, three teams' collective history is now indelibly etched in the annals of Ohio sports.
