Director Biography - Paulo Macedo

Paulo Macedo is a Brazilian Producer/Director with 13 years of experience. He produced, directed and photographed 3 television series (in a total of 62 episodes), 1 feature film and 13 short documentaries for TV. As a videographer, Paulo covered ten major world sports events, including the Para American Games in Toronto in 2015 and Rio de Janeiro Olympics, in 2016. His passion for cinematography has taken him on countless adventures in several countries, including four trips to Antarctica where he shot a 50 minutes documentary about the work of the Brazilian Air Force. And a 5 days bus trip from São Paulo to Lima, in Peru. More recently, he produced and photographed a feature documentary that was shortlisted for the 2020 Academy Awards. “My name is Daniel” was officially selected for ten international film festivals and won four awards.

This was my first fiction short and it was shot in 12 hours, during overnight. The most exaustive experience and yet one of the best.
