Johnny Lebon is an American screenwriter who travels to Rio de Janeiro with the mission of documenting the remake of Marcel Camus' Orfeón Negro. To achieve his goal, he enters the very heart of the Carnival where, amidst the frenzied hustle and bustle, the harsh reality that plagues the city comes to light.

Johnny Lebon es un guionista americano que viaja a Río de Janeiro con la misión de documentarse para el remake del Orfeón Negro de Marcel Camus. Para conseguir su objetivo se introduce en las mismas entrañas del Carnaval donde entre la frenética algarabía sale a relucir la cruda realidad que azota la ciudad.
