Incident on Highway 7
You wouldn't expect a car accident to bring three couples closer together, but it does. A Romantic Comedy Thriller about 3 dramatically different couples whose relationships are tested at the site of a car crash when they overhear the dying driver reveal the winners of tomorrow's fixed horse race. These are ordinary people who have money troubles that need resolving before they can take advantage of the bet and are unaware that a mobster is on their trail looking to stop them.

MEDIA LITERACY
The more one understands how media is used to manipulate emotions, the less one is vulnerable to corporate propaganda.
I taught screenwriting and the filmmaking process through courses for McMaster University and the Factory Media Centre.
My award winning short “Pit & Pendulum” was an experiment of technique. Using Poe’s words to stimulate the viewer’s imagination around the minimalistic images seen on screen. Its simplicity demonstrated the power of cinema at its most basic.
I create the kind of stories I like to see. Enlightened entertainment.
I create in Hamilton, Ontario, the perfect film location.
Gaudet is Latin for “be happy.”
“Incident on Highway 7"
“Goin Down the Road” meets “A Day at the Races.”
I prefer the comedy of ordinary people thrust into extraordinary circumstances. This is not about winning millions but the winning amount is significant to our protagonists.
This is about relationships put under stress by the machinations of a Hollywood plot, featuring a roster of quirky characters encountered during the summer of 1974.
A thriller full of comedy, irony, and romance. A skewed look at our present through the eyes of the past.
I also took potshots at every movie cliche I could think of, including the McGuffin, which revolves around the mob fixing 2 races in a row.
I like to call it a satirical thriller.
A character comedy.
